Crews are investigating the cause of an early morning fire that damaged a historic Newtown home.

The flames broke out around 6:20 Tuesday morning at 3517 Debolt Road near Plum Street.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find visible flames coming from the three-story structure.

The home was reportedly built in 1885.

Officials say a family of four lives in the home, but only three were there at the time. Everyone made it out safely and there are no reports of injuries.
