CINCINNATI -- A neighbor's barking dog helped catch a burglary suspect Friday in Eden Park, and that same suspect could be connected to a string a burglaries in Mt. Adams.

A woman who lives on Hill Street in Mt. Adams says she heard her dog barking around 2 p.m. When she looked outside, she saw broken glass on a neighbor's deck then saw a man hopping on a red bike carrying a backpack.

She called 911 and gave a detailed description of the the man.

An officer in the area at the time saw a man on a bike fitting the description on Eden Park Drive.

Police say the suspect, identified as Andre Palmer, ditched the bike and ran into the woods dropping the backpack. Officers established a perimeter and found Palmer hiding in the woods near St. James Place in Walnut Hills.

In an ironic twist, the neighbors whose home was broken into has complained about Sophie's barking in the past.
