The day after a motorcyclist was killed riding through a construction zone on I-75, the speed limit is dropping.
The accident happened Wednesday night when his motorcycle rear-ended a dump truck in the southbound lanes near the Middletown exit.
Effective at 7 p.m. this Thursday, the state is lowering the speed limit to 55 mph from the Montgomery-Warren county line to the rest area just south of State Route 63.
The victim's name has not been released.
