A construction worker has died after falling from scaffolding along I-75 in Liberty Township last week.
Edmond Gourdon, of Covington, Louisiana was painting underneath the overpass at northbound I-75 and Kyles Station Road last Wednesday when he fell about 20 feet and landed in a construction zone.
He was taken to University Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries Sunday night.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident. Its findings will not be available for several more weeks.
