A Harrison woman was killed in a late night accident in Whitewater Township. The crash happened just after 10pm Wednesday night on the 9300 block of Harrison Avenue.
Sheriff's deputies say a car driven by 31-year-old Amanda Vaughn crossed the center line and was hit by an oncoming Hummer.
Vaughn died at the scene. Two adults and three children in the Hummer were injured and taken to area hospitals for treatment. They're expected to recover from their injuries.
Police say speed was not a factor in the crash. But they do report that Vaughn was not wearing a seat belt. The Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate the crash.
