The
Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, is freeing up $994,550 to go to Delhi Township.
The grant money will help township leaders to pay for the removal homes from the floodplain.
The grant will cover 75 percent of the cost of removing nine structures in the township.
Hamilton County will provide an additional $331,516 to cover the remainder of the cost.
FEMA officials say the project will ensure the safety of Delhi residents by preventing future structural losses.
