Cincinnati Public Library kicks off its awareness campaign Monday in Corryville. Due to state budget cuts the library is facing a $16 million deficit next year.
The library claims close to 20 neighborhood branches will be permanently closed without the funding. That would include 250 librarians and staff losing jobs and close to 30% of the publics computer access would be slashed.
The library will hold a rally at 11 a.m. Monday to promote and raise awareness of their for Issue 7. The issue would cost homeowners of a $100,000 home $2.50 a month should it pass in November.
