BATAVIA, Ohio (AP) -- A former Ohio police chief has pleaded guilty to charges of obstructing official business and dereliction of duty.
Former New Richmond police Chief David Willoughby entered the plea Monday. Clermont County prosecutors dropped charges of theft in office, menacing by stalking and two counts of unauthorized use of computer property in a plea deal.
Willoughby was indicted in March and resigned last month.
Clermont County Common Pleas Judge W. Kenneth Zuk gave Willoughby a 180-day suspended prison sentence and two years' probation. He also ordered the former chief to surrender his Ohio police certification.
Willoughby could not be reached for comment Monday.
