The Hamilton County Solid Waste Management District will be open Saturday, August 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect obsolete computer equipment and televisions from Hamilton County residents.
Televisions weighing 60 lbs. or less cost $10 and those over 60 lbs. cost $20. Cash and checks are the only methods of payment available. However, Sony, Zenith, LG and Goldstar TVs are accepted at
no charge.
Other items accepted at no charge: monitors, CPUs, hard drives, mice, keyboards, laptops, docking stations, back-up batteries, power cords, speakers, modems, external hard drives, memory chips, storage chips, cell phones, printers, scanners and desktop fax machines.
The facility is located at 11093 Kenwood Rd, Building #7 in Blue Ash. Residents must bring proof of residency, such as a driver's license or utility bill, in order to participate. The program cannot accept computer equiptment/TVs from businesses, churches, schools and non-profit organizations.
The program is also open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until December 30th, with the exception of major holidays.
