CLIFTON, Ohio -- A local store is taking big strides to be environmentally-friendly.
Aquarius Star celebrated it's new green cafe called "Om Cafe" on Saturday evening.
The store that classifies itself as 'conscious retail' recently opened on Ludlow Avenue in the Clifton Gaslight District.
The menu features organic coffee and items supplied by local farmers.
It now has a spiritual center as well called "Shangri-La" for yoga and massage therapy. There will be classes and workshops at the center.
Owner of Aquarius Star, Lydia Steck, explains, "We sell only direct trade, organic, shade-grown coffee and espresso. We also have compostable carry-out containers for all of our food and coffee, but we also have a wonderful dine-in experience."
Steck says the goal of the business is to make customers feel better about their lives as well as to sustain the health of the community by buying locally grown and produced food.
