Get out the red and wear it this friday to promote women's heart health.

The American Heart Association is holding a special luncheon Friday where guests will learn the symptoms of heart attacks in women, like nausea, jaw pain, and fatigue.

"It's really getting women to take those symptoms seriously and take those symptoms seriously and get to know their own bodies and take charge of their health and go to their doctors and say something's wrong with me. I think i need to be checked out," says Adrienne Cronebaugh, spokeswoman for "Go Red for Women."

The Go Red for Women Empowerment luncheon is Friday, May 4th, at The Manor House in Mason.

It starts at 10:00 with keynote speaker, actress Cheryl Ladd at noon. 9 news anchor Carol Williams will emcee.

Guests will also hear messages about managing sleep, diabetes, and see demonstrations on heart-healthy cooking.
