Police say a homeless man is the most recent person to target a blind deli owner in the Hamilton County Courthouse.

It's a story you saw first on Good Morning Tri-State.

Police have charged 57-year-old Larry Evans with two counts of theft.  His address on court paperwork is listed as the Drop Inn Center.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies say Evans entered the courthouse deli last week and stole cup cakes.  They say Evans returned Wednesday and placed a can of Mountain Dew and cup cakes in his coat pockets, then only paid for a $0.35 pack of gum.

Deli owner Kent Parker, who runs the store's cash register, has been victimized on multiple occasions because of his condition.

Surveillance cameras have lead to the arrests of several people who have attempted to steal from him in the past.

Deputies say Evans was in the courthouse for a morning court appearance on another theft case when he committed the alleged shoplifting.  Video surveillance also helped in his arrest.

Evans was back in the courthouse Thursday morning when he was arraigned on two new theft charges.
