Man Charged For Driveway Groping, Robbery

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio -- A Springfield Township man is facing charges for allegedly groping a woman and then trying to take her money, right in her driveway.
Shawn Mathews, 20, is facing felony counts of aggravated robbery and gross sexual imposition after being charged on Wednesday. The incident dates back to an alleged incident on Daly Road on October 3.
Mathews allegedly approached the woman as she got out of her car and said, "don't move I have a gun" as she touched her. The woman then told him she had money in her car. As she began to get the money, she set off the car's panic alarm, causing him to flee.
Springfield Township police say Mathews admits to "asking the victim for money", and that he was picked out of photo lineup.
