CINCINNATI -- Crews in University Heights have now contained a natural gas leak apparently caused by a hit-and-run driver early Friday morning.

Police say the leak started in an alley off West McMillan Street around 3:45 a.m. after a car plowed into a gas line.

The line reportedly leaked for about 15 minutes before crews could shut it off.

There are no reports of injuries.

It is not yet clear if police have located the driver, who ditched the car about 100 feet from the accident site and ran off.
