Reading police arrested a man over the weekend after a child was scalded in a bathtub, causing serious burn injuries.
Twenty-six-year-old Ruben Bartel of Reading is facing one felony count of endangering children.
Police say they were called to an apartment on Lakeshore Drive Saturday afternoon to a report of a child being burned. The 18-month-old child suffered serious burn injuries to his lower body.
Police say Bartel left the child unattended in the tub with the water running.
The toddler was eventually taken to Shriners' Hospital for treatment of his burns.
Bartel is scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
