Good morning –
Yesterday my wife Jen and I voted at our new precinct, which is at St. Rose Church on Riverside Drive. The voting area was in the basement, which is apparently used primarily for Bingo. And it looks like they’re really into their Bingo. There was a circa 1960 electronic Bingo board on the wall that was probably 15 feet wide by 6 feet tall. I’d never seen anything like it. Kind of like a basketball scoreboard. It looked kind of like this, but really old and much bigger. I didn’t even get a bingo, and I still got a prize. One of those “I’m a great American, I’m just great in general, I just voted” stickers. The wording may have been slightly different.
Watched Paranormal Activity over the weekend. Apparently there are two different endings. We saw the orginial one, which is different from what’s in theaters now. The creepiest part was her standing motionless in the bedroom for hours. Beyond that, I thought it was really slow with a lot of down time, which is odd for a “horror” movie. It took 20 minutes for anything “paranormal” to happen. Also, Jen is pretty vulnerable to scary movies, and she was bored. Maybe the other ending is better?
My favorites from today's GMTS:
- Casino Coming To Downtown -
Regardless of where you stood on Issue 3, I think it’s hard to argue that it will be interesting to watch this Casino go up. Currently, Broadway Commons is something of an urban wasteland. I think I saw a tumbleweed there once.
- A Mother Daughter Moment -
To avoid jail time, they chose to stand outside a courthouse with signs saying they stole from a 9 year old girl. Nothing beats a little mother-daughter bonding.

MicroManiac
As in, microwave. Several demonstrations of a guy putting varies items in the microwave.
