Good morning -
I said something on the air this morning about how today’s the day that offices everywhere get cast-off candy from little kids’ Halloween baskets. Every office, apparently, except ours. Unacceptable.
This is the only time of year that eating candy before 7:00 a.m. is not only appropriate, but expected.
Just wait until tomorrow, after another day of eating the good stuff has passed. Then we’ll be inundated with Mounds, candy corn and Pay Days in our office common areas. As if Tuesdays weren't already tough enough.
Now - time for a little (OK, a lot) self-indulgence. Here are some pics of the GMTS crew and their Halloween hoopla.
First, Benjamin Barry (Lance’s son) enjoyed his first Halloween this weekend. As you can see, he’s dressed as an elephant. Let’s hope that doesn’t mean he had to eat circus peanuts.

Here’s a look at my brood. Both girls got to pick whatever they wanted to wear. Elizabeth is a bookworm (wearing her favorite book) and Annabelle is Taylor Swift.

And finally, here is the rest of our family as the Peanuts gang. I’m shocked and amazed that these costumes don’t exist. There’s nothing more Halloweeny than Charlie Brown. So I had to make most of them. We did win the costume contest, though, which I guess is a close second to seeing the Great Pumpkin.

If anyone in your family had a great costume, send me a picture – I can extend the indulgence to others, was well.
Enjoy your week …
My Favorites From GMTS:
Cash for Candy: Several dentists offices are buying back Halloween candy today to send overseas to our troops. You can get $1 for each pound of candy you bring in. Check the locations here. And don't just take them the nasty stuff - they deserve their share of Reese's cups.
Movin' On Up: The UC Bearcats are having a pretty good day. Greg Williams becomes the school's 27th president and the football team is #4 in the latest AP poll. Maybe more importantly, the Cats moved up to #5 in the BCS rankings. And ABC/Ch. 9 will now air UC's game against UConn from Nippert, Saturday at 8.
Today's Distracting Link
Very, very weird. Especially if you follow the directions at work.
