Viewers have asked me for years which is the better high speed internet deal: Cincinnati Bell's Zoomtown, or Time Warner's RoadRunner?
My usual response: It all depends on what kind of "bundling" plan you get. But tonight, we have the results of a new comparison from our partners at Consumer Reports Magazine.
Consumer Reports, in their February 2008 issue, asked users to rate price, reliability, performance, and support of their ISP. And believe it or not, Cincinnati Bell ranks in the top three internet providers nationwide.
- Rated #1: Verizon's FIOS fiber optic system, not available in the Cincinnati area.
- Rated #3: Cincinnati Bells Zoomtown, cited for its solid reliability and performance.
- Rated #8: Insight Cable of Northern Kentucky.
- Rated #13: Time Warner RoadRunner... out of 22 providers listed.
But remember, Time Warner may offer a better deal for you, if you bundle with their cable and/or digital phone. So compare both services for price and features....they both offer good internet service.
