HD 101: When your HD Signal Goes Out

Last Update: 10/08/2007 6:07 pm

Reported by: John Matarese

Whether you receive Channel 9 HD through an antenna or cable...... some day you may find your HD channels gone! You check the wiring and everything's fine. Did channel 9 go off the air?Did Time Warner pull the plug? No.

HD signals are either 100% or zero percent. There are no fuzzy pictures: If the signal is not strong, you get a black screen.

So if youre on an antenna, re-adjust your antenna.

If you have cable, and your HD signal goes out, Time Warner says "autoprogram" your tv again.

In most cases, a power surge or power outage caused your the signal to shift....so you just get a blank screen. So try "autoprogram," and don't waste your money!
