There is no sense of national pride anymore. We would rather see foreigners and foreign companies take over our country, see our money wasted bailing out rich people so they can maintain their lifestyle, complain about how our intelligence service protects us, apologize to everyone in the world for being American, and then have our own people dog us and wish American companies to go under while the rich guys keep stealing our money and get richer. And people still can't see the destruction of our democracy and freedom right before their eyes. They welcome it. The U.S. is now a Third World country. Hundreds of thousands lose their jobs weekly and people actually believe that things will get better.

Respect. You are 100 % correct. Americans are so gulible when they hear about foreign vs american cars. My toyota was built right in my home state. Can't get any more American than that. CELIRIOUS...Exactly what does "buy American" mean anyway ? GM & Co. should crash and burn for screwing the car industry for decades. Back in the 80's they deliberatly made cars that would only last 4-5 years so that you would buy again once it was paid off. All this just to satisfy the greedy shareholders. I hope their pensions dry up. Bastards.

most "American" cars are made from parts that are NOT made in the United States. My foreign car is more American than a GM, Chrysler or Ford.

NO, I won't feel guilty, my "foreign" car was made in the USA and employed many of my countrymen/women.

I just bought a car at Joe Kidd Dodge. They were very good people, down to earth. I'm really sorry to hear this but am glad they will stay open. Buy American! This is a large part of why these automakers are in trouble. If these companies fall, and hundreds of thousands lose their jobs, will you feel guilty for having your foreign car in the driveway? It should.
