I think it would be nice if they would honor expired coupons.

Just over a month before many have to fix their TV's and find out that they don't get a strong enough signal for the DTV converters, which they put off getting, to work.

I still can't wait till after the coupon program is over and the boxes cost $20. The only reason they cost what they cost now is because they know consumers are only footing about $10-$15 for the box. The rest the companies are ripping off from the federal government. Way to go government.

This stuff just makes me laugh, only in Cincinnati are the people backwards enough to not understand why this switch is happening. For anyone who cares, if this switch had taken place before 9-11-2001, emergency personnel would have been able to communicate over their walkie talkies without having frequency channels bogged down, this switch over will provide another leap for the United States in terms of its infrastructure and technology, by opening up the old frequencies that tv channesls occupied, we're talking about a now open USA covering blanket that can now be adapted to things such as internet use, imagine anywere in the counrty you can now hop on the internet for virutal nothing, this will open up unlimitless means of communications for the entire country and allow for many new innovations to take hold. And all because the goverment finally realized that they need to take charge and make a deadline for this much needed change. For all of the folks out there complaining etc., sure they government might not be the best for getting the coupons out, but seriously, what did you expect? Where they screwed up, was allowing the converter manufactures wait till the last minute to release their product, and instead of issuing coupons, they would have been better off to just subsize the price of the boxes to beging with. But seriously, no one has an excuse to start complaining now, "i didn't know etc." this has been in the news for several years now, and we have had AMPLE time to prepare for this switch over. I just love how now City Council is getting involved, I mean seriosuly, where has everybody been the last few months. Every single channle on local TV has been talking about this just about every night now for MONTHS!

Seems to me the consumer is getting it where the sun dont shine once again. I was angry to read this article. I have elderly parents that dont use cable and its a good thing that we ordered ours ahead of time. It doesnt work that great anyway. One more time our hard earned money wasted.

I DON'T THINK THE PROGRAM WORKED TO WELL ANYWAY, YOU COULD NEVER GET A HOLD OF A PERSON IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM, LIKE WE HAD WHERE WHEN WE RECIEVED OUR COUPONS THEY WERE EXPIRED, AND NOW WE ARE BEING ASKED TO FOOT THE BILL FOR A PROGRAM THAT NO ONE ASKED FOR, THE FAIR THING TO DO WOULD HAVE BEEN TO GIVE EACH A HOUSEHOLD A FREE BOX TO START AND THEN PAY FOR YOUR SECOND ONE, NOW SINCE THEIR ARE NO COUPONS AND YOU CAN'T GET A HOLD OF PERSON THE REST OF US ARE LEFT WITH NO ANSWERS TO OUR PROBLEMS TO BEGIN WITH, WE DIDN'T ASK FOR THE SWITCH AND NOW WE HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. VERY UPSET CONSUMER

Hey John, How about getting the elected officials to remove the expiration dates off the cards they sent out but haven't used and have expired. That might solve the problem.
