The popular
Cash for Clunkers program screeched to a halt at the end of August. Now, we have hard numbers on which cars Tri State buyers traded in.
9 News crunched the local numbers to find the big winners in the program in the Cincinnati area. And the biggest was
Kings Toyota...with almost double the clunker trades of its closest competitor!
*Greg Walker of Kings Toyota told us "Well the benefit is it's been a huge boost to the economy dealers have liquidated inventory which are a fortune to pay for customers got a great deal and plus it's good for the environment."
Nationwide - many drivers traded in an old pickup truck for a new one. In the Cincinnati area, however, they appeared to skip the pickups and went instead for more fuel efficient cars.
