Last Update: 10/18/2009 11:46 am
The Ohio State Patrol is investigating a crash on Interstate 75 that killed two people Saturday Night in Warren County.

The accident happened on I-75 Southbound just north of Middletown in Franklin township just after 9 p.m.

Police say driver Nicholas Poe and his passenger Amanda Poe of Cross Plains, Tennessee, were killed after their car struck the back of a Mack dump truck.

The driver of the truck, Timothy Smith of Hillsboro, was not injured.

Police say the preliminary investigation shows speed appears to be the cause of the crash.
