The Clermont County coroner was called to the scene near Bethel Monday after a couple was found dead inside their home on Happy Hollow Road.
The bodies of Kurt Russell, 41, and his wife Debbie Russell, 44, who joined the Navy and recently returned from Iraq, were discovered in their bedroom after sheriff’s deputies who entered the home after they were notified by friends of the family.
The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office says it appears it was a murder-suicide because there was no evidence of a struggle or forced entry into the home.
The Sheriff’s Office says the couple was last seen together the night before at the American Legion Post in Williamsburg where they had been active.
