Special Olympics Torch Run Continues In Butler County

Last Update: 6/25 6:52 am
Tri-Staters are invited to cheer on local law enforcement as they embark on the second leg of the Special Olympics Torch Run.

It continues at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at the Hamilton City Building, and travels along High Street to Route 4; arriving at the Middletown Police Department.

Then at 8:45 a.m., the run will start at the Franklin Police Department and move along state routes 73 and 725 to Miami Township.

Southwest Ohio's leg of the torch run officially kicked off Wednesday morning at the Cincinnati Police Memorial on Central Parkway.

Last year, the Buckeye State raised $400,000 for the run, which sponsors Special Olympics athletes across the country.

The run will continue through Ohio until Friday evening.
