CINCINNATI--A police chase started on East Miami River Rd. at Gum Rd. in Miami Township and ended in an accident on North Bend Rd. at Homelawn Ave. in Cheviot.
A Hamilton County Deputy Sheriff attempted to make a traffic stop on a 1992 Nissan Maxima. The driver of the vehicle, Franklin Sizemore of Hamilton, fled from the deputy at speeds topping 100 miles per hour.
Sizemore, 37, tried to maneuver around a 2004 Chrysler Sebring around 12:20 a.m. by going left of center. That is when he sideswiped the Chrysler and lost control of his vehicle and ran off the roadway. The car then plowed through a fence and rolled onto its top.
The driver of the Chrysler Sebring, Ryan Dietrich of Cincinnati was not injured. A passenger in the Sebring, Melissa Dietrich, was transported to Christ Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Sizemore was transported to University Hospital and is now facing several charges. A passenger in the Nissan, Essie Moseley, was also transported and released from University Hospital.
Franklin Sizemore was charged with having fictitious license plates, driving under suspension, failure to control, and felony fleeing and eluding. Sizemore also had 11 warrants. Essie Moseley was also arrested on 2 warrants.
Seat belts were in use by everyone involved. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
