ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Police arrested a man who was allegedly driving drunk at nearly twice the speed limit.

According to court records, an Arlington Heights officer clocked Jeremy Wright, 22, from Hebron, Ky. driving at 108 mph along I-75 just before 3 a.m. Friday in a red 2008 Corvette. The speed limit for that stretch of highway is 55 mph.

The officer allegedly could smelled alcohol when he approached the car.

Police say Wright admitted he had been drinking alcohol, and was then asked to perform various field sobriety tests. The officer says Wright failed the tests and was taken to the police station for a breath test.

On the breath test, Wright allegedly blew a .194. The legal limit is .08 in Ohio.

Wright is charged with speeding, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and reckless operation.
