A Michigan man is facing charges after he apparently pulled a parking meter right out of the ground in Elmwood Place.

Police say 19-year-old Scott Krug travels with a band who was in town to play at the Cup and Saucer Cafe Thursday night.

According to court records, Krug went outside the bar, pulled a parking meter out of the ground, and heaved it into the middle of Vine Street.

Krug allegedly told police he did it because he was bored.

He is charged with vandalism.

A judge set his bond at $1,000 Thursday morning.
