First Financial To Buy 17 Peoples Bank Branches

More than a dozen local bank branches could soon get a new name.

First Financial Bank announced Monday that it will buy 17 branches of People's Community Bank.

If approved, People's Bank would continue to operate two banks in Lebanon, while the rest would operate as First Financial banks.

The deal still needs regulatory approval, and could close later this year.
