An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a Woodlawn apartment complex on Monday.
Crews were called to the complex at
41 Towne Commons Way around 12:30 p.m.
Crews arrived to find a second floor balcony totally engulfed.
The fire spread to another unit before firefighters were able to extinguish it.
Two units were destroyed and six sustained smoke and water damage.
Residents in all 24 units have been displaced because Duke Energy had to cut off power to the building.
There were no injuries reported.
