Woodlawn police have arrested a man wanted for walking away from an inmate work detail in Over-the-Rhine last year.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says a Woodlawn officer pulled over a car around 1 a.m. on Friday. Hector Martinez-Hernandez was a passenger in the vehicle. Officers found the outstanding escape warrant on file and took him into custody.
Martinez is currently behind bars at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
Deputies say Martinez walked away from an inmate work detail in Over-the-Rhine on December 24, 2008. He was serving time for felony DUI, traffic violations and had an ICE hold in place.
