DAYTON, Ohio -- The Elder Panthers had all the ingredients necessary to gain a berth in the state championship game for a second straight year, but Elder couldn't fend off a game winning drive by Hilliard Davidson Saturday night, falling in the state semi-finals 24-20.
The Elder nation traveled to Dayton's Welcome Stadium in an attempt to get back to the Division I championship Saturday night against Hilliard-Davidson.
Elder is now 10-3, while Hilliard-Davidson is 12-1.
