Officials are continuing to investigate a crash that claimed the life of a man in Adams County overnight.

The accident happened around 10 Wednesday night on State Route 32 near State Route 247 in Scott Township.

Investigators say the crash resulted after 67-year-old Stanley Glenn, Jr. of Seaman, Ohio attempted to turn left from SR 32 onto SR 247 through a red light, and into the path of an oncoming semi.

The driver of the oncoming tractor-trailer, 58-year-old James Adkins of Ashland, Kentucky, was unable to stop in time and crashed into the passenger side of Glenn's pickup truck.

The Adams County Coroner pronounced Glenn dead at the scene. Adkins was treated and released for minor injuries.

Investigators say both men were wearing seat belts at the time and don't think alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the accident.
