With just over a month to go before the nation's mandatory switch to digital television, help is on the way for those who have not prepared for the change yet.

WCPO-TV will host a phone bank to take your questions about the digital switch Thursday January 15 from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.  The number to call at that time only is (513) 749-9400.  Experts will be able to tell you what you need to do to make the change and how you can make it.  They will also handle questions about difficulties if you have made the change but are experiencing trouble with it.

Then, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, WCPO will broadcast an on-screen message that will be seen on all analog sets that will tell you if your TV is ready for the switch.  If your TV is not ready there will be a number to call for help. If you see regular programming at that time and do not see the message, your TV is set!

Cable and satellite TV customers are not affected because those providers process the digital signal before sending it to your set.
