This afternoon people played a little golf, dined on some great food and auctioned off items to benefit men and women in the Armed Forces.
BAE Systems and GE Aviation hosted the "Birdies for the Brave" event Monday in Maineville.
The program included a number of activities to help raise money for disabled veterans.
The funds will be distributed to six different military charities.
“These fine warriors are going to need our help, not just today, but down the road,” said John Prazynski, the keynote speaker. “They've done something great for us, we need to do something great for them so this is a way to do it.”
Prazynski's son Taylor died four years ago.
He was a Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corp.
