A local mother and her two children now have a new thanks to two companies.
The home for Deandra Eberhart and her children was made possible by Delta Airlines and Habitat for Humanity.
The airline and the home building charity teamed up to celebrate the local chapter of Delta's 'Six City Build,' where the airline helped build six homes in six cities in six weeks.
Delta paid $78,000 for materials and had over 400 employees donate their time during the six-week construction period.
A wheelchair ramp was constructed especially for Eberhart's 2-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy.
Deandra was unable to be at the event due to illness, so her mother, Kimberly Eberhart spoke on her behalf. "Speaking on behalf of my daughter and myself, I don't know what to say, I'm at a loss for words. I'm very excited, I'm happy. Like I said, my daughter got a house now, she got something she can call her own, for her and her kids."
Habitat for Humanity had built over 170 homes to support local families.
