Several employees of Channel 9 met with some very special first graders Wednesday morning.
We met our first grade "adopted" class from William Howard Taft Elementary.
This is our second year adopting Mrs. Abney's class. We had a cupcake party and delivered supplies to a very deserving class of 30.
Adopt-a-Class is a non-profit organization that brings mentors from local businesses and community groups into schools in the Greater Cincinnati area that have a high percentage of students from families at or below the poverty level.
Adopters visit the class several times throughout the school year and end the year with a class outing.
This worthwhile program is always in need of adopters.
