Hamilton County Ohio voters were in a generous mood Tuesday night....approving all the county levies on the ballot.

But you might be wondering: What are these levies going to cost me ?

Voters approved levies for the Library, Union Terminal, MR/DD, and Family Counseling.

The good news: Property taxes will go up just slightly.  The bad news:  can't think of any, unless you find $90 a year to be outrageous.

The Cost Breakdown

For the owner of an average $200,000 dollar house in Hamilton County:

  • The Library Levy will cost you $60 a year.
  • The MR/DD Levy will cost you $30 a year.
  • The Union Terminal levy wont cost you any more, as it was just a renewal.

The grand total:

  • $90 a year, if you own a $200,000 home.
  • $45 a year, if you live in a $100,000 house.

Of course, a number of communties approved school levies as well, which will add to your local property tax.  You can check with your school district to learn how much your bill will increase. As always, don't waste your money.  I'm John Matarese.
