Evaluate Your Heart Disease Risk with The Christ Hospital Heart Aware Program

Heart disease is the number one killer in men and women in the United States, but it can often be predicted and prevented if you know your risk factors. These may include:

  • 45 years of age or older
  • A family history of stroke or heart disease
  • Smoking history
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Diabetes and High Cholesterol

The Christ Hospital is offering a free risk assessment called Heart Aware to determine if you’re at risk for cardiovascular disease. Don’t wait to find out if you’re at risk. Take the Heart Aware risk assessment by visiting www.TheChristHospital.com or call 513-585-RISK (7475).

If you’re not at risk, you’ll receive piece of mind; and if you are, you’ll find out early to get the right type of treatment. If you would like a paper version of this risk assessment, call us at 513-585-RISK (7475).

At The Christ Hospital, we are dedicated to providing you with heart health education and prevention.

Some ways to reduce these risk factors are:
  • Eat healthy. If you need assistance formulating a healthy meal plan for your and or your family, we have nutrition counseling services available to help. Call 513-585-2425 for more information.
  • Exercise. Thirty minutes of exercise is recommended every day. Medically-supervised exercise is available at the Cardiac Wellness Center located in The Christ Hospital Medical Office Building. Call 513-585-2425 for more information.
  • Stop smoking. Smoking cessation classes are available for FREE at the Cardiac Wellness Center. Call 513-585-2425 for class times and information.
  • Receive screening tests. Men and women 25 and older should have their blood pressure and cholesterol levels checked regularly. Additionally, you may have screenings performed to evaluate your risk level.
We also offer heart CT scans, an imaging screen to detect heart disease, for $99 at The Christ Hospital. Click here to learn more. The Christ Hospital
