  • As of 2002, The Uncle Al Show is the longest-running children's television program in America. Following closely in its lead (as of 2002) are Captain Kangaroo, which aired for 30 years, Mr. Rogers at 32 years, and Sesame Street, which is currently in its 33rd year.
  • Approximately 14,000 different Uncle Al episodes aired on television.
  • The Uncle Al Show had three different directors in its 35 years: Mike Tangi, Bob Jamison, and Tom Tenhundfeld.
  • Uncle Al's favorite hobby is flying; he has owned more planes than he has owned cars.
  • Al and Wanda live on a farm just outside of Hillsboro, Ohio. Their four daughters have presented them with 10 grandchildren, much to their delight.
