Fond memories of the "Uncle Al" Show have been pouring into the Channel 9 newsroom from all over the country.
The beloved children's show host left a lasting impression on thousands of children, the city, and those that worked along side him daily.
"The kids made it an absolute joy," said Larry Kinley, who worked on the "Uncle Al" Show from 1975-1978. "They came into that studio just wired. 'Good morning! Hi Larry, I watch you every day!' They say stuff like, 'Oh, I just love you. Oh, I watch you every day and can I have a hug?'"
On Friday WCPO-TV is going to re-run a tribute that takes a look back at the Uncle Al Show which aired on Channel 9 for 35 years.
"A Tribute to Uncle Al: Through The Years" will air at 12:30 p.m., after the noon news.
