I was on his show in the fifties and the only thing I remembered was when he grabbed and shoved me and yelled "get away away from the slide". It kind of left a bad memory for me.

I would love to know all of the words to the prayer that Uncle Al ended every show by saying with the kids. I remember bits and pieces and would love to teach the entire prayer to my granddaughter. It ended in the words "thank you God for everything".. Would love for someone to post the prayer for all to enjoy. Thank you.

I have authentic Uncle Al memorabilia listed on ebay. search Uncle Al and there is a lot of 4 items, bow tie, autographed jacket, autographed photo, and undrawn coloring book. Rare items from this tv icon. God Bless Uncle Al

If God rewards us in heaven and judges us by how much joy we bring to others, Uncle Al now has CONTINENT of his OWN up there(no doubt it won't stay vacant very long once word gets out who he is, though) Thank you, Thank you, thank you for ALL the memories! Not only will you be missed, we're saddened that you are truly irreplaceable. God's speed (and say hello to Bob Keeshan, TOO:)

I thought it was unfair that there was no diversy children featured on the show. When he had the CPS children down to the little carnivals that none of the inner city children were allowed to particpate. I was in elementary school and teachers who worked then remember this as well. But could not comment.

Growing up in Dayton, Ohio, I thought it unfair that all the kids in Cincinnati got to be on the Uncle Al Show. We did, however, have Uncle Orrie and Ferdy Fussbudget on TV after we got home from school and before we went out to play.
