Uncle Al Poem

Last Update: 3/11/2007 11:49 pm

This is a poem someone wrote about Uncle Al. The author is unknown.

My Uncle has a great big smile, His clothes, of course, are bright in style. He wears a coat so bright and gay, It almost takes your breath away.

He isn't lime my Uncle Joe, Or Uncle Bill, good heavens, no! He likes to dance, he likes to play, And comes to see me every day.

He has a castle and a farm, And puppet friends who add their charm, He flies an airplane through the sky, With Captain Windy breezing by.

I like to play in Uncle's Band, I bang my spoons upon my hand. And when I dance, I must confess, I make the living room a mess.

But mommy really doesn't mind, Because she knows I'll soon unwind. And settle down to hear some more, Of what my Uncle has in store.

He taught me I should drink my milk, And treat the baby soft as silk. I brush my teeth and comb my hair, And put my toys away with care.

It makes my day so bright and gay, To have my Uncle come my way. And if you tune to Channel Nine, I'll introduce this "Unk" of mine.

I know you've guessed his mane by now, It's everybody's "Uncle Al". And when I say my prayers at night, My Uncle's not an oversight.

So from your fan club, let me say, We watch and listen, everyday. And can't begin to thank you for, The "relative" we all adore.
