I would not give up my cats. I would buy tuna and we would share it if thats what it came down to. SPAY and NEUTER people! Of course if you cant feed them you cant get them fixed either.

I would take to sleeping in my car to keep my girls (3 cats). They are my babies right along with the human one I have. They are family members. Give up smoking, cable, booze, etc before you give up your family members.

The American way of life is out of reach for average working class middle class America.Pet ownership is now for the "well off". Taking your family to a ball game is for the "well off". Raising a family is now for the "well off" only. Make no mistake, there are plenty of "well off " out there.Really they just want to rid society of the not so well off. They would build jails and lock everyone up who were not well off like themselves if they could. Make a man hungry and he becomes desperate and he will steal , there goes another one. We now have 2 million + in our prisons and jails, how much you wanna bet that before this crisis is over that number will increase by a good percentage. Woman having to work full time jobs is killing them and leaving our nations youth abandoned. The rest of the world is looking at our country and thinking what a s#%& hole it is. I would do what it takes to make sure I had things for my dog, and I would go without all my extras. I'll be damn if loosing my income or my home would make me get rid of my dog, I would see if a family memember could shelter him till I got stable. I feel so sorry for those animals who's lost there homes.
