UNION TWP.-- Volunteers from four different cat rescue groups spent their Saturday on Jenkins Lane in Union Township.
9News profiled the neighborhood over run with more than two dozen cats last week.
Volunteers trapped a dozen cats Sunday and took them to the U-CAN Spay and Neuter clinic on West 8th Street in Queensgate.
A 9News viewer donated $2,000 to help pay for the surgeries, tests and vaccinations for the cats.
Various cat rescue groups from across Cincinnati will help find a place for the adoptable cats.
The other cats will be released after they receive attention from a vet.
The Scott's claim the problem started when an elderly woman next door went to live in a nursing home, leaving the cats behind.
9News contacted the property owner the Scott's blame for the cat colony.
They say they worked to get the cat problem under control with help from the Clermont County Humane Society, but the Scott's re-established the problem by feeding stray cats.
The property owners say they're worried the volunteers trapped pets that belong to people in the neighborhood.
