The Labrador Retriever reigns supreme in the Cincinnati area as well as across the country, according to the AKC.
They have released their list of the most popular dog breeds of 2008. For the 18th year in a row, the top spot goes to the Labrador Retriever, followed by Yorkshire Terrier, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Beagle.
The American Kennel Club says in Cincinnati, the Top 5 is the Lab, followed by Boxer, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier, and German Shepherd.
The lists are generated using dog licenses.
