Mike Mattingly

After spending three college internships with Popo and DJ at WCPO, Mike Mattingly knew that sports was what he wanted to do.

In September of 2002, Mike was hired as a part-time production technician and in December of that same year, he was hired for his current position as the Sports Producer.

In addition to writing the sports stories, Mike has also started doing on-camera work, first in doing pieces for the Ryland Homes Sports Rush and now anchoring the weekend morning sports briefs. He hopes to someday be full time on- air talent.

Mike was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but has lived in Cincinnati for most of his life and was constantly playing one sport or another. One of his favorite sports memories was the Reds sweep of the A's in the 1990 World Series.

Mike attended Purcell Marian High School and went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his three sisters, two brothers, two nieces, a nephew, and of course his parents, all who live in Cincinnati.
