lgiroud@wcpo.comLynn came on board WCPO in October of 1994, bringing her investigative edge and personable attitude to the Channel 9 newsteam. She joined WCPO shortly after winning the Scripps-Howard Jack R. Howard Award for her investigative series on the poultry industry's disposal of dead chickens.
Lynn enjoys seeking out challenging, exciting assignments, and has proven she'll go above and beyond to get the story. She's been known to parachute from airplanes, fly in one of the last B-17 bombers still in the air, and scuba dive in the Atlantic Ocean ... all with tv cameras rolling.
In November 1999, she ran the New York City Marathon and at the starting line, she got an unexpected boost of adrenaline when her boyfriend proposed! She made it through the 26.2 miles under 5 hours (not bad for her first marathon). She ran with The Leukemia Society's "Team in Training" program, and raised $3,000 to help fight the deadly disease.
