Jennifer A. Moore is the News Forecast reporter for Good Morning Tri-State. On the weekends, she goes behind the camera as 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. producer. She began her full-time employment with the station in 2007, but her experience with WCPO has been much longer. While in high school, Jennifer was one of the first classes to take part in the WCPO' Careers In Media program; where she shadowed different departments and produced public service announcements. Then during her years in college, she interned almost every summer through the INROADS program. During that experience, she learned almost every aspect of the news department-even earning a freelance position as web producer during her winter break.
Moore graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 2007 with a bachelor in science in journalism-with emphasis in broadcast journalism. While at Ohio University, she was very active in the local station WOUB where she wrote, produced and reported on TV and radio.
Cincinnati is no stranger to Moore. She grew up in the suburb of Woodlawn, and attended Princeton High School with her younger brother. Both of her parents are from Cincinnati, so her huge extended family can easily be found throughout the Tri-State.
During her spare time, she is active in the National Association of Black Journalists and Leadership Scholars (where she helps high school aged youth form their own newsletters). She's also very active in giving back to the community, through her sorority-Alpha Kappa Alpha, as well as her church. Her passions surround mentoring, writing, reading and dance.
Moore has also been recognized as one of the 2009 Black and Hispanic Achievers, which is presented by the YMCA of greater Cincinnati. You can usually catch Moore on Good Morning Tri-State Wednesday through Friday.
