When did you start working here? I started working here at 9 On Your Side in February of 2014.
Where else have you worked? Prior to WCPO, I was flying tours in New York City. I also worked as a flight instructor and was in the Air Force for about seven years.
Where did you go to college? I attended the US Air Force Academy, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Space Operations.
What are you most proud of when it comes to your work? I take pride in professionalism and constantly improving my abilities as an aviator.
What are you most proud of in your own life? I'm most proud of my family.
What do you love about living in the Tri-State? I like working in the Tri-State because I am originally from Indiana, and it brings me back to the Midwest and family.
What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions? Having young children, I spend most of my time going to places that my children would enjoy as well. So far, Ault Park is at the top of our list.
All time favorites (movies, music, books, shows, etc…)? As far as television goes, if it weren't for sports and Game of Thrones, I'd probably never watch it. I'm a big sci-fi and fantasy fan, and reading is my single favorite hobby. I'm a big fan of Ben Bova, Hugh Zachary, and Raymond E. Feist. I'm also a fan of board games such as Settlers of Catan and Betrayal at House on the Hill.
Other than 9 On Your Side & WCPO.com, you get your news from: I get a lot of my other news from VerticalMag and MilitaryPhotos.net.
Apps you can't live without? The apps that get, by far, the most use from me are Aviation Tools and Line (which is a great messaging/phone/video app).
Tell us more! I was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana. Between the Academy and active duty, I spent about 11 years in an Air Force uniform, and it has provided me with the opportunity to learn to fly and meet my wife of 7 years, Kazumi.
